How do I know if I need a new roof?

Inspect your home and roof for signs of wear and/or damage.

  • First inspect the ground around your home. Are any shingles or other roofing materials laying on the ground? You should perform this check after particularly severe storms or windy days. Another thing to look for is roofing material or shingle granuals at the bottom of your down spouts. This could indicate that your shingles are nearing the end of their performance life.
  • Look at your roof. Do you see any pieces missing, broken, or lifting up? Do you see any bare spots or underlayment that is visible?
  • Look inside your house. Do you see evidence of leaks? Discoloration on the ceiling or walls? Is your paint blistering, or is wallpaper peeling away near the ceiling? Have you noticed any damp spots on your floor?
  • Check your attic. Do you see any wet spots or stains on the wood from water damage? Is the insulation damp or matted down?
  • Finally, if you are able, inspect the roof by climbing up to look more closely. Do your shingles or other roofing materials look worn? Are any pieces missing, broken, or lifting up? Can you see any exposed nails? Are the shingles peeling? Are your shakes curling? Inspect around any objects that break up the roofline, such as chimneys, skylights, flashing, vents, etc.

How long will the process take?

For typical roofing jobs, we can go from initial inspection to completed roof in as little as a couple days. In one emergency case where a family's roof was blown off by a tornado, our turnaround for the roof replacement was just one day! Gutters can also be completed on a typical house in as little as a day or two. Siding may take a few more days to complete a job, depending on the size of the house.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept most forms of payment. This includes cash, check, or in cases of insured repairs, payments from your insurance company. In cases of emergency or insured damages to your home, we will help you negotiate through the whole insurance process. We also accept Visa and Mastercard, though homeowners typically do not choose this method.
